Welcome to the Axé Capoeira headquarters in downtown Vancouver. We have a selection of various classes for you to choose from including Capoeira classes, MMA/Jiu-Jitsu classes, Brazilian dance classes, Brazilian music classes, and Zumba Fitness classes.

We are located at 45 West Hastings Street near the corner of Abbott Street, which is just a couple of steps from the new Woodwards & the new Simon Fraser University (SFU) downtown campus. We invite you to drop in to watch or try out one of our martial art, dance and fitness classes.

Our studio is located in a one of a kind heritage building called the “Phoenix Building”. With 7000 square feet, our studios main training space is completely open and has 20 feet high ceilings, solid oak wood floors, full length mirrors, and a unique wall design no other location in Vancouver has.

What would a martial arts school be without a “wall of fame”?

Our Wall of Fame area holds our trophies, medals, and plaques from around the world. Proudly, showcasing just some of our groups competitive accomplishments. In this same area we also have our pads, gloves, punching bags, focus mitts, and many other training equipment.

There is also a lounge area for you to relax or rest in, equipped with wifi and a computer for Internet access.

In the lower part of the studio we have a huge area which holds our big selection of Brazilian instruments, this is where our music classes are located. We also have spacious change rooms as well as a storage area for your jackets and bags. We also have a second lounge area for kids which has toys and games to keep them busy.

On our top mezzanine area we have our pro shop, which has a wide selection of many types of Brazilian sports wear clothing, capoeira uniforms, brazilian CDs & DVDs.
